APC Founder and Curator, Ron Libbrecht was nominated and awarded with Torrance’s Excellence in Arts Award for Arts Education for the year 2012, and his outstanding contribution to the art community in Torrance. 2012 is a significant year for Torrance, as it is the centennial anniversary of the founding of the city. Ron founded APC Fine Arts Gallery here in Torrance in 1998 and has hosted several plein air painting workshops (here and abroad) in addition to our many gallery exhibits. Ron has also been teaching art classes at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center for over 20 years. Congrats, Ron!
